Week 4; Sunday; Barnham

[ What a weekend. From trying to figure out who'd killed Barnham's roommate and... that weird circus guy, to having her roommate volunteer himself as a culprit, even if he hadn't killed either one of them, and coming back to an empty room after some odd weeks of walking in to Winston's barking and Whiskey Hour with Will, or Ezio's overly flirtatious attempts...

Sara doesn't really consider herself to be the sentimental type, and it's not as though she feels like crying or screaming at the sky, but at the same time... she doesn't feel like going back to the hotel right now.

So here she is, wandering around town with the air of someone who really doesn't know where the heck she's going. ]

[Barnham is doing much the same. The strange thing about executions is that for all that they're a big deal...they don't take long. There's still plenty of daylight, and Barnham still doesn't want to return to his room. Not after everything.

Constantine follows along with him as he wanders, and then barks, tail wagging, and trots up to Sara--which really leaves Barnham no choice but to follow.

[ What a clever dog-- which is to say Sara comes to a stop when she hears that familiar bark, and then sinks down into a crouch to offer Constantine an ear rub. ]

Well, at least someone's cheery today.

... I fear Constantine has been cooped up far too long.

Constantine wags his tail, panting.]

Huh... well, I can't say I'd mind his company on a walk. What do you say, boy?

[Constantine is going to just jauntily start walking beside her, because Constantine thinks that Barnham needs to get out and spend time with someone and stop brooding.

Barnham watches them go for a moment, and then he sighs.

[ Truly, Constantine is the best dog. ]

No, never. My place is in Labyrinthia, and I have never felt the urge to go elsewhere or otherwise.

That said...my duty is to my city, and the people within it. I have no reason to every go elsewhere. Is that so difficult to understand?

Yeah. I get having a duty and a home, but a little vacation never hurt. You know, something new and exciting... something you can say you've done and then go back home.

Truthfully, after this entire matter, I would even consider it, though I fear it is far too late for me to do anything of the sort.

It'll give you something to look forward to, and it'll give me time to get you used to new things.

... Lady Instructor, I assure you that in this case, I am not simply being difficult.

I fear the choices I have made have placed me in a position where traveling shall...not be possible.
