Week 4; Sunday; Barnham

[ What a weekend. From trying to figure out who'd killed Barnham's roommate and... that weird circus guy, to having her roommate volunteer himself as a culprit, even if he hadn't killed either one of them, and coming back to an empty room after some odd weeks of walking in to Winston's barking and Whiskey Hour with Will, or Ezio's overly flirtatious attempts...

Sara doesn't really consider herself to be the sentimental type, and it's not as though she feels like crying or screaming at the sky, but at the same time... she doesn't feel like going back to the hotel right now.

So here she is, wandering around town with the air of someone who really doesn't know where the heck she's going. ]

... Even so, I must admit that the same can be said of me as well. I am grateful to have met you.

There is nothing wrong with seriousness when the situation calls for it.

Sometimes the situation doesn't call for it.

On very rare occasions, particularly in a place such as this.

Even in a place like this...

... I did just see you smile.

... I suppose, even in a place like this...there are occasional reasons to smile.

It's because we're in a place like this that it's even more important to smile-- even if you have to be the one giving yourself reasons to.

[ that smile's actually a little unfair... but Sara's going to dismiss that thought with a short shrug and a smile. ]

Then I'll hold you to that! Since we both know it's only going to keep getting harder.

... Indeed. But so long as we both live--so long as we are able to face the next day with our heads held high, there is nothing that can truly take us down.
